HPs Superdome servers are their flagship PA-RISC and Itanium2 based High-End machines.
Currently offered in either PA-RISC or Itanium2 processor configurations, the Superdome line represents enterprise class computing on the largest scale. These machines start at 16-Way capability and scale up to 128-Way with up to two TB of memory. Just like the Mid-Range HP9000 line of servers, HP will be phasing out PA-RISC based servers which will mean the end of HP9000 Superdome servers as of 2009. At the heart of Superdome servers is the sx1000 cell chipset. HP Integrity Superdome homepage HP9000 Superdome homepage |
